Laura Shumaker, the Communications Director of the Special Hope Foundation, is a writer, author and content strategist. Her work has been published in many places, including the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Times and on NPR. Laura is most proud of her role as the mother of 3 sons. He oldest, Matthew, has autism.

Takeaways from UCSF’s 16th Annual Developmental Disabilities Conference
