Most medical and health professional education programs inadequately address care for people with developmental and intellectual developmental disabilities, a growing (and aging) population in the United States.

UCSF’s Annual Developmental Disabilities: An Update for Health Professionals Conference addresses this lack of professional medical education will be held on March 25-26, 2021.

This year’s conference marks its 20th year. The conference will be live-virtual, employing a live stream webinar and various user-friendly interactive virtual platforms.  The live presentations will be recorded and made available for 30 days so you can review any content you might have missed.

The conference,  presented by the UCSF School of Medicine and the UCSF School of Nursing, covers a broad spectrum of developmental disabilities and is an invaluable opportunity for multidisciplinary dialogue among experts in the care and future of individuals with disabilities. It’s open to family members, caregivers and Self-Advocates for the reduced rate of $100.
